VVHA unveiled the "Nellie Mae Rowe and her Playhouse" historical marker, in partnership with the Georgia Historical Society and The Judith Alexander Foundation. On Paces Ferry Road in front of Hotel Indigo, it is at the former site of Rowe's home of 45 years which she transformed into her largest piece of artwork called her "Playhouse."
Upon receiving continued feedback from residents in homes and neighborhoods along Woodland Brook about speeding vehicles, VVHA worked with Cobb County DOT to address the concern.
In October 2024, Dynamic Speed Display Signs were installed near the Orchard Knob intersection in both directions of travel to slow down speeding vehicles.
After discussing the need to replace the aging community signs located near Vinings entry points with Commissioner Richardson, she allocated dollars from her 2024 contingency funds to support this Vinings Vision project.
After conveying to Commissioner Jerica Richardson that Vinings was overdue for receipt of SPLOST funds and potential projects, the Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted to pull funds from excess 2022 SPLOST dollars and 2025 county contingency funds to provide a much-needed facelift to Vinings Branch Library.
Vinings Library hasn’t been updated since opening in 1990.
Construction is scheduled for summer 2025.
Shops at Vinings Ridge: Worked with the developer (D&A Investment Group) on the site plan & design for “Shops at Vinings Ridge,” the new Retail Center planned for 2025 at the corner of Paces Ferry Rd and Vinings Slope.
